May 1 was the most perfect day for a walk along the river in Woudrichem, a small fortified town not too far away from us. It's a beautiful place for a walk, quiet, but with lots of grass, sand and water to play in! It's also the home of a herd of wild Icelandic horses, completely used to dogs. They were very curious when they saw James! James knows he has to ignore horses and he does this so well, even today, when the whole herd came looking at him. James was off-leash and didn't care one bit, even when one of the young horses came really close and walked with us. I couldn't be prouder of him and even more when I saw another dog running into the herd, which is something one should never allow! Gladly, the horses didn't mind it, but you have to respect all animals at all time. Nevertheless, we had the best walk and were happy after having given James the chance to run, sniff, swim and roll!
