Sunday, September 25, we left the hotel room early to go to the international dog show in Maastricht. Two James puppies were also at the show to support their father :) The judging of the Corgis started in the afternoon, so we had a lot of time to play and cuddle with them! James loves puppies. It was really nice seeing them again and they have the greatest temperaments. I'm really happy about their personality and about how they develop. Floatin' King of Kintyre ''Kerel'' and Floatin' Kara Kardashan ''Kayleigh'' are five months old now. Back to the show now :) James was entered in open class and he did really well. The judge examined him closely, together with an intern. James was happy in the ring and he gained 1 excellent, CAC, CACIB, and best male! This means that James is now officially DUTCH CHAMPION! It was the first opportunity for him to gain this title because dogs here in the Netherlands have to be 27 months of age. The judge was mr. Wallin from Sweden and he gave James the following report: very nice young dog, very nice head and expression, beautiful ears, good color of eyes, good neck, lovely topline, good Cardigan front, good angulation in front and rear, moves well, very nice temperament, calm and steady, very well trained, 1 excellent, CAC, CACIB, BOS! We are very proud of our lovely boy, who is not only beautiful from the outside, but also has a great personality with a lot of will-to-please! James got a new ball and new cookies, so he was happy too :) After the judging, we took some pictures with ''the family,'' meaning James, Hirdel (mother of the puppies), Kerel, and Kayleigh. We had a great weekend!
Zondag 25 september verlieten we 's ochtends vroeg de hotelkamer om naar de internationale hondenshow in Maastricht te gaan. Twee van de James pups uit het eerste nest waren er ook om hun vader aan te moedigen :) De keuring van de Corgi's startte pas in de middag, dus hadden we tijd genoeg om de pups te bekijken en met ze te kroelen. James vindt pups ook erg leuk. Het was erg leuk om ze weer te zien en te zien wat een geweldig karakter ze hebben. Ik ben erg blij met hoe ze zich ontwikkelen, zowel in karakter als in uiterlijk. Floatin' King of Kintyre ''Kerel'' en Floatin' Kara Kardashan ''Kayleigh'' zijn nu vijf maanden oud. Terug naar de show :) James was ingeschreven in de openklap en hij deed het geweldig. De keurmeester bekeek hem zorgvuldig, samen met een stagiair. James was vrolijk in de ring en hij behaalde 1 uitmuntend, CAC, CACIB en werd beste reu! Dit betekent dat James nu officieel NEDERLANDS KAMPIOEN is! Dit was de eerste kans voor James om deze titel te behalen, want honden hier in Nederland moeten 27 maanden zijn om de titel te kunnen winnen. De keurmeester was dhr. Wallin uit Zweden en hij gaf James het volgende keurverslag: erg mooie jonge reu, erg mooi hoofd en expressie, prachtige oren, goede kleur van de ogen, goede nek, prachtige bovenbelijning, goed Cardiganfront, goede hoekingen voor en achter, beweegt goed, erg leuk temperament, kalm en standvastig, erg goed getraind, 1 uitmuntend, CAC, CACIB, BOS! We zijn erg trots op onze James, die niet alleen mooi is, maar daarnaast ook een heel fijn karakter heeft met een grote will-to-please! James heeft een nieuwe bal gekregen en nieuwe koekjes, dus hij was ook blij :) Na de keuringen hebben we foto's genomen van ''de familie'', dat wil zeggen James, Hirdel (moeder van de pups), Kerel en Kayleigh. We hebben een geweldig weekend gehad!
