A muddy walk in January

What's better than going for a walk on a sunny day in the middle of winter, with boots on and a warm winter coat? Nothing, I think, and James agrees with me! Hence, on January 29, we went to the forest for a good run and did we have fun! It was just a little bit muddy :) but we don't mind. Walk for an hour of longer, then returning home for some well deserved tea! A good day. This time I tried a Nikon camera from a friend, just to experience it, but I think we stick to my Canon for a while...

Good night

James is just so cute when he's happily sleeping in his bed... On the first picture, he felt like I was interrupting him, but soon decided it wasn't worth keeping your eyes open :) This was on January 28, after a busy day. He likes retreating to his bed when the day is over or when he feels like he just want some alone time!

Tricks for the Uber Dude title!

The last month I have been busy teaching James several new tricks! He loves working with and for me and teaching him tricks is a fantastic way to deepen our bond. James is very smart and usually it doesn't take him long to understand what I want from him. I always use the clicker to teach him things, later I switch between the clicker or just a clicker word, like good or well done. Both work well, but for teaching him new things I prefer the clicker because it is much easier to time. Last month, I came across a dog training website where you can earn trick dog titles (In the Doghouse). You have to make a video and when you fulfill the requirements of the certain title, you will get a certificate! Because we love to train and being busy, I thought I gave it a try. The first title you can win is the Uber Dude title, where you have to perform 12 out of 16 tricks. Well, you can watch the video with our new tricks here! Now we cross our thumbs and hope we pass :D
