Herding sheep
Sunday, October 28, I took James to herd sheep. This time, Pembrokes Dolly and Rain were also with me to watch us. First, we made a walk with the three dogs together and afterwards, James had to herd a herd of 16 sheep. He did a great job and showed us that his instincts are really good! It's lovely to see your working breed do what it is bred for originally!

Zondag 28 oktober mocht James mee gaan schapendrijven in Nootdorp. Deze keer mochten Pembrokes Dolly en Rain ook mee om te kijken. Eerst hebben we een fijne wandeling gemaakt met de drie honden en daarna mocht James een kudde van 16 schapen drijven. Hij deed het goed en liet ons zien dat zijn instincten nog sterk aanwezig zijn! Het is prachtig om te zien hoe jouw hond van een werkhondenras doet waar het vroeger voor gefokt is!

James & Dolly in Hooge Vuursche
James and Dolly are becoming good friends! Pembroke Welsh Corgi Dolly (Hillberry All That Love) is 10.5 months old now and she loves playing with James. Two Corgis know so well how to play with each other, that's a joy to see. They love to chase each other and Dolly loves to bark at James when he has something, like a ball. This morning we were in a beautiful forest, the ground completely covered with leaves in the most beautiful fall colors. The dogs had fun playing in the leaves, leaving a whole trail behind when running through them. It was a walk to repeat, for sure!
James en Dolly worden steeds betere vriendjes! Welsh Corgi Pembroke Dolly (Hillberry All That Love) is nu 10,5 maand oud en ze vindt het geweldig om met James te spelen. Twee Corgi's weten wel hoe ze samen moeten spelen, dat is prachtig om te zien. Ze vinden het fantastisch om elkaar achterna te rennen en Dolly vindt het erg leuk om naar James te blaffen als hij iets heeft, zoals de bal. Deze ochtend waren we in een prachtig bos in Hoge Vuursche, de grond compleet bedekt met bladeren in de meest prachtige herfstkleuren. De honden hadden veel plezier met het spelen in de bladeren, een heel spoor nalatend daar waar ze gerend hadden. Het was een wandeling om zeker nog eens te herhalen!
