German Champion!

Yes, we got it! On Sunday, June 9, I entered James for the Clubshow for British Sheepdogs in Peine, Germany. It was an outside show; the weather was not bad, but also not very nice. However, the temperature was much better for the dogs than the day before, so that was good. There were 15 Cardigans entered, quite a lot for a clubshow, which was really nice. There were lots of Bearded Collies before us, so we had to wait a loooooong time before we could enter the ring, but we enjoyed the company of our German friends. Finally, at 2 pm, it was time for us to hit the showring! James was entered in champion class and he did great. The grass was not very smooth, which made it harder to walk, but James impressed the judge, even while he was shedding so much... She loved him and when he was on the table, she said to me that he was really beautiful. Always love that kind of compliments! James gained 1 excellent and CAC under judge mrs. Selle (DE). This meant he finished his German Championship as well as his German Club Championship! And that on his 4th birthday! I'm very proud of him. This was his judge report: 4 year old, strong and well build male, masculine head with foxlike expression, skull of good width, correctly set big ears, complete scissor bite, excellent front and depth, excellent angulations, straight and firm back, moving fluently with nicely set and carried tail, very friendly and attentive in character, 1 excellent, CAC, BOB. There were many Cardigans in the BOB line-up, 8... The judge looked at the dogs one more time, but soon made her decision. James won Best of Breed! What a great way to finish his show career! Afterwards, James got to run with his Cardigan friends Froop (Waggerland Good Night Girl), niece Paula (Joy Transfer Kassandra Kiss), niece Kariad (Joy Transfer Kariad Black Lady) and Selma (Cymraeg Ci Jetsetter). Jawel, we hebben het! Op zondag 9 juni had ik James ingeschreven voor de Clubshow voor Britse Herders in Peine, Duitsland. Het was een buitenshow; het weer was niet slecht, maar ook niet erg mooi. Toch was de temperatuur voor de honden veel beter dan de dag ervoor, dus dat was wel fijn. Er waren 15 Cardigans ingeschreven, best veel voor een clubshow, wat erg leuk was. Er waren wel erg veel Bearded Collies voor ons, dus moesten we laaaaaang wachten voordat we de ring in mochten, maar we hadden gelukkig gezelschap van onze Duitse vrienden. Eindelijk, om 2 uur, mochten we ons laten zien in de showring! James was ingeschreven in de kampioensklasse en deed het erg goed. Het gras was niet erg vlak, wat het moeilijker maakte om te lopen, maar James maakte indruk op de keurmeester, ook al was hij enorm aan het verharen... Ze vond hem prachtig en toen hij op de tafel stond, zei ze tegen me dat ze hem erg mooi vond. Altijd leuk om te horen, dat soort complimenten! James kreeg een 1 uitmuntend en het CAC onder keurmeester mw. Selle (DE). Dit betekende dat hij zowel het Duits Kampioenschap als het Duits Clubkampioenschap behaald heeft! En dat op zijn 4de verjaardag! Ik ben erg trots op hem. Dit was zijn keurverslag: 4 Jaar oud, uitmuntend gebouwde sterke reu, mannelijke kop met vosachtige uitdrukking, schedel van goede breedte, correct aangezette grote oren, volledig schaargebit, uitmuntende borstdiepte en voorborst, uitmuntend gehoekt, rug recht en stevig, vloeiend in beweging met goed aangezette en gedragen staart, zeer vriendelijk en aandachtig qua karakter, 1 uitmuntend, CAC, BOB. Er stonden veel Cardigans in de line-up voor BOB, 8... De keurmeester bekeek de honden nog een keer, maar maakte al snel haar beslissing. James won Beste van het Ras! Wat een geweldige manier om zijn showcarrière te beëindigen! Na de show mocht James lekker rennen met zijn Cardigan vrienden Froop (Waggerland Good Night Girl), nichtje Paula (Joy Transfer Kassandra Kiss), nichtje Kariad (Joy Transfer Kariad Black Lady) en Selma (Cymraeg Ci Jetsetter).
