After our busy Saturday, it was again showtime on Sunday, January 22. Jojo (Waggerland Drop Dead Gorgeous) stayed the night with me and James to go with us to Germany. They slept together downstairs and it went perfectly. Jojo took over James' bed, but that was okay with him. During the walks with the two dogs, Jojo had to sniff everywhere where James also sniffed and she proved to him that she was the boss: James found a stick a couple of times, but as soon as she saw him carrying it proudly, she came to him and he immediately let go of it... And of course she had it then :) James is a real gentleman! The Sunday morning started early because it was a three hour drive to Verl-Kaunitz. The show is called the Westfalensieger and is only for British Sheepdogs. James was entered in champions class, Jojo in intermediate. There were 11 Cardigan Welsh Corgis entered. We had to wait a long time before the judging began, but we had a great time. We met with the breeder of James' latest litter of puppies, met James' niece Paula (Joy Transfer Kassandra Kiss), and saw the daughter of James' grandfather Hazel (I Am What I Am from the Wonderful Oz). Also, two of James' puppies visited! They were now 5.5 months old and very cute! Gina (Just The Way You Are from the Wonderful Oz) and Aurin (Just A Gigolo from the Wonderful Oz) had a wonderful time playing together and it was nice that we could see the whole family together. At the end of the day, it was finally time for the Corgis. James did a great job, as usual, and won 1 excellent and CAC in champions class, but that was not all... At the end of the judging, the Slovenian judge gave James the breed! With this win James gained the title Westfalensieger '12. Mrs. Novak (SLO) wrote this report about James: 2.5 year old male with a nice head, correct teeth, eyes could have been darker, good ears, good neck- and top line, parallel when standing, good angulations, good coat quality. In one weekend he won two Best of Breeds! Jojo won the reserve CAC. We had a great day meeting all the nice dogs and people and are very proud of our Waggerland Corgis! Na onze drukke zaterdag was het zondag 22 januari 2012 opnieuw tijd voor een show. Jojo (Waggerland Drop Dead Gorgeous) bleef een nachtje logeren bij ons om zondag met ons mee te gaan naar Duitsland. James en Jojo sliepen samen beneden en dat ging perfect. Jojo kwam 's ochtends uit James' mand, maar die vindt dat allemaal prima. Tijdens onze wandelingen met de twee honden moest Jojo overal snuffelen waar James ook aan het snuffelen was en ze liet hem zien dat hij niets te vertellen had bij haar : James vond een paar keer een mooie stok, maar zodra ze zag dat hij trots rondliep met een stok, kwam ze snel naar hem toe en pakte de stok uit zijn mond... James liet meteen los en Jojo had de stok dan dus :) James is een echte heer! De zondagochtend begon al vroeg omdat het drie uur rijden was naar Verl-Kaunitz. Deze show wordt de Westfalensieger genoemd en is alleen voor Britse Herders. James was ingeschreven in de kampioensklas, Jojo in de tussenklas. Er waren 11 Welsh Corgi Cardigans ingeschreven. We moesten lang wachten voordat de keuringen begonnen, maar we hadden het erg gezellig. We ontmoetten de fokker van James' laatste nestje pups, zagen James' nichtje Paula (Joy Transfer Kassandra Kiss) en ook de dochter van James' opa Hazel (I Am What I Am from the Wonderful Oz). Ook kwamen er twee pups van James langs! Ze waren nu 5,5 maand oud en ontzettend schattig! Gina (Just The Way You Are from the Wonderful Oz) en Aurin (Just A Gigolo from the Wonderful Oz) hadden erg veel plezier met samen spelen en het was erg leuk om de familie zo samen te zien. Aan het eind van de middag was het dan eindelijk tijd voor de Corgi's. James deed zoals gewoonlijk erg goed zijn best en won 1 uitmuntend en CAC in de kampioensklasse, maar dat was nog niet alles... Aan het eind van de keuring koos de Sloveense keurmeester James als beste van het ras! Met deze overwinning behaalde James de titel Westfalensieger '12. Mw. Novak (SLO) gaf James dit keurverslag: 2,5 jaar oude reu met goed hoofd, correct gebit, ogen hadden donker gemogen, goede oren, goede hals- en bovenbelijning, parallel in stand, goede hoekingen, goede vachtkwaliteit. In één weekend won hij dus twee keer Beste van het Ras! Jojo won het reserve CAC. We hadden een gezellige dag en hebben veel nieuwe honden en mensen ontmoet en zijn erg trots op onze Waggerland Corgi's.
